Because it has such a high salt content, I have to be careful not to give him too many in one sitting. So it's one per every couple of days or so. He could be anywhere in the apartment and if I open up a jar of pickles, he won't budge, but as soon as the olives come out, he's right there purring at my feet :D Cats have an excellent sense of smell and that's probably why they can determine whether to get off their arses to go for a pickle or olive.
